A region with a lot to discover
You will be staying in Aude, which is halfway between the City of Carcassonne and the beautiful city of Narbonne. Relax on the beaches of Gruissan or explore the many tourist sites in Cathare Country: châteaux, abbeys, all dotted along the Canal du Midi.

Good welcome on arrival at reception. Good choices of pitch available to chose from. Site not full. Decent sizes. We wanted an open pitch so we would receive satellite signal. It was seriously hot whilst we were staying but what was nice was there was a constant breeze. The facilities were clean. I would have liked to see a little more general maintenance of the site such as clearing the paths of fallen debris. It was seriously deep in some places and when the wind blew it swirled around! Lidl nearby for shopping and the market was well worth a visit.

We also appreciate your constructive comments regarding the general maintenance of the site. The vegetation and pine trees give the campsite much of its character, but we understand that fallen leaves and debris can sometimes be inconvenient, especially when it’s windy. Your feedback is valuable and will help us improve our daily upkeep to make the environment even more pleasant for our guests.

Friendly reception / bar employees . close to the centre of town (10 min walk) Dog friendly shady pitches. free access to municipal swimming pool . herbs grown and you are encouraged to help your self (nice touch)

We’re delighted you enjoyed the shady pitch, friendly team, and little extras like the herb garden and free access to the municipal pool. It’s also great to know that the proximity to the town centre was convenient for you and your dog 🐾
Regarding the bar/restaurant, you’re absolutely right — outside of peak season, running food service requires staff and resources that we can’t always have in place. Thankfully, being just a 10-minute walk from town makes it easy to enjoy the local restaurants and bars.

Medium sized campsite with only a 10 minute walk into town for supermarket, restaurant etc. good sized pitches with shade. Only half drive to Carcassonne.
